For nearly two decades, I worked with CEOs and leadership teams, and noticed something consistent: the people who thrived weren’t the smartest; they were the ones with mental strength, resilience, and self-awareness. That raised an obvious question: if these skills matter so much for adults, why do we wait until adulthood to build them? That question led to conversations with parents, research with child psychologists, and eventually, LeapSpace. What became clear is that today’s children are growing up in a different world: one where the everyday experiences that once naturally built confidence and resilience no longer happen the same way. “Children don’t need perfect parents. They need emotionally strong adults who create emotionally safe spaces.” LeapSpace was built on a simple belief: mental strength isn’t something a child either has or doesn’t have; it’s a skill that can be built, one small habit and one everyday interaction at a time
